Sheep River, May 20th, 2007
Yesterday (Sunday May 20th) Junior Development Kayak Team member Sam Coutu and myslef met at the Sheep River near Turner Valley Alberta for a quick morning run before picking up Matt Burton at the airport. We were greeted with sunny skies and a water level a little on the low side but still very runnable. This was Sam's first trip down the sheep, and sporting the Zero Gravity 54 he paddled most of what the Sheep has to offer, and I was stoked to get on Tiger Jaws and Triple Falls for the first time this season. With a well above average snowpack this year the Northern and Central Alberta runs are shaping up for a good long season, and many of the Interior BC runs are already getting pretty high for this time of year. Looks like a pretty epic season ahead of us. Watch this space for more pics and stories
